Carolina Garzzia - Education Director

Raised with deep roots in Southern California, Mrs. Carolina Garzzia knew that from an early age; providing exceptional childcare was her passion.

From as young as 10 years old, Garzzia expressed this interest with enthusiasm and curiosity, caring for an 8-month-old cousin, so her Aunt could return to work and provide for their family. Even at this young age, Garzzia felt compassion for children and sought to develop her natural skills, instincts, and abilities in this area. Her attunement to the needs of infants and toddlers allowed her to provide care for family and friends and eventually inspired her to study Early Childhood Education - a field in which Garzzia holds several degrees.

Concurrent with these studies, she gained further experience working within the elite 1% of childcare centers, CalTech being one of many. After marriage, and giving birth to her own baby girl, Garzzia set a specific goal to make a difference in her community and in the lives of children. This began with opening her own daycare in California, so she could continue the career she is so passionate about, whilst also caring for her own daughter.

Carolina’s ability to connect with children and facilitate their growth has not only earned her a reputation for providing the best childcare in the area, but kept a successful alumnus of graduates who still remain in contact, well into adulthood. Alumni affectionately refer to her as ‘Mom’, ‘Lina’ or ‘Ms. Lina’ and are often the biggest cheerleaders of Chandler’s Playhouse & Preschool, some of whom have been influenced to enter preschool because of Ms. Lina, and by often providing referrals and stories of the firsthand, positive impact Garzzia has had on their lives.

After three decades of successfully running Chandler’s Playhouse in Arcadia, in 2023, Ms. Lina embarked on developing her second, personally designed Daycare Center. Chandler’s Preschool in Highland Park, CA is an enchanting realm of creativity, where laughter and learning intermingle seamlessly. Garzzia's ability to cue into children’s needs allows her to understand behaviors, such as the ability to know when a child’s rebellious moment is due to lack- or an overwhelming abundance of- attention. Or the point at which a child is ready or mature enough for advanced learning. Some Chandler’s students surpass Kindergarten and immediately advance into 1st Grade. This is based on Carolina’s awareness and perception of both an individual child’s environmental upbringing or DNA traits, and tailoring her care to what each child needs. She understands that not every child is the same and treats each and everyone as a gift to their own natural being.
